About CLF Literati
CLF Literati is Chandigarh’s celebration of literature, ideas and meaningful conversation, bringing together writers, poets, thinkers, journalists, artists and readers from across India and beyond.
Organised by the Chandigarh Literary Society, CLF Literati has evolved into a vibrant literary platform that creates space for dialogue, discovery and exchange. At its heart is a simple belief: that books and ideas have the power to connect people, open new perspectives and enrich the way we understand the world around us.
The festival’s flagship gathering takes place over three days towards the end of the year, featuring conversations with leading authors and thinkers, book discussions, readings, poetry, cultural encounters and engaging sessions on issues that shape our times.
The CLF Literati calendar also includes its Spring Edition, a one-day gathering usually held in March or April. Now an established part of the festival’s annual rhythm, the Spring Edition offers a more intimate setting for writers, readers and ideas to come together.
Across its editions, CLF Literati has remained committed to presenting diverse voices and perspectives and to creating an open, inclusive and non-aligned space for conversation.
Whether over three days at the flagship festival or for one day in spring, CLF Literati is ultimately about the same thing: the joy of books, the power of ideas and the conversations that remain with us long after the festival ends.
Read. Listen. Engage. Imagine.
Welcome to CLF Literati.
Message from the Festival Director
Literature has the power to connect us—to people, ideas and worlds beyond our own. CLF Literati is a celebration of this power: a space where writers, readers and thinkers come together in meaningful conversation.
Each year, we bring diverse voices and perspectives to Chandigarh, creating opportunities to discover new ideas, revisit familiar ones and engage with the questions that shape our times.
I invite you to be part of this celebration of books, ideas and conversations. Come curious, participate wholeheartedly, and allow literature to surprise you.
Welcome to CLF Literati.
